Welcome to the SEAMEO BIOTROP, the Southeast Asian Regional Centre for Tropical Biology, is one of the twelve centres under SEAMEO (Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization). The organization consists of nine member countries of Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Philipines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

SEAMEO BIOTROP is based in Bogor, Indonesia where it was established 25 years ago, in 1968. Originally located in the famed Botanical Garden, it has moved in 1978 to its present site.
