BIOTROP facilities are for the support of the activities of each programme thrust. They consist of laboratories, library, offices, seminar/conference room, dormitories and sport facilities. In the new structure, there are six laboratories that can be utilized by relevant projects of each program thrust. Those laboratories are coordinated by the Laboratory Coordinator and assisted by laboratory assistants at each laboratory. The laboratories are:

1. Remote Sensing and Ecology
2. Ecosystem Modelling / IC-SEA
3. Pollution Control
4. Pests and Diseases Management
5. Biotechnology and Tree Breeding
6. Natural Products

The dormitories are all air-conditioned with private bath. They are provided with hot water as well as TV sets connected to CNN. Telephone lines are available with the BIOTROP compound.

For conference/seminar purposes, there are air con rooms with capacities from 20 to 40 persons. The auditorium is easily convertible into a conference room for 200 seats.

There are five units supporting BIOTROP daily activities and programme thrusts. Each unit is chaired by a Unit Head who is assisted by unit assistants. The five units are:

2. General Administrattion Unit
3. Finance Unit
4. Facility Unit
5. Information Resource Unit

The library is under the Information Resource Unit, that is also responsible for publication of te scientific journal, BIOTROPIA.
